According to a recent analysis on Acadiana by Bill Bacque, realtor extraordinaire, “It is the perfect homeownership storm and it doesn’t appear that it will let up anytime soon,” he said.

Vermilion Parish has recorded 227 sales, an increase of 16.4% over 2019’s year-to-date total of 195! For reference, Lafayette Parish’s sales are 10.1% higher while the rest of the region saw decreases: St. Landry Parish down 10%, Iberia Parish down 10.8%, St. Martin Parish down 9.6%, and Acadia is down 3.3%.
