What is VEDA?
The Vermilion Economic Development Alliance is a legislatively created body with the autonomy and flexibility to meet the needs of business. We work in coordination with other local government entities and organizations to promote the economic growth and quality of life in Vermilion Parish.
Governed by a 15-member board of directors, the independent economic development district has strong representation from stakeholders and governmental entities from across the parish.
The organization focuses on four key priorities including: Business Development, Existing Business Retention & Expansion, Workforce & Education Initiatives, and New Business Attraction.
MISSION
The mission of the Vermilion Economic Development Alliance is to facilitate business growth, retention and expansion, and serve as the contact for industry interested in relocating to Vermilion Parish.

Board meeting Information
The Vermilion Economic Development Alliance Board of Directors meets at 5:30pm on the second Wednesday of each month in the Vermilion Parish Government Office Complex at 407 Charity Street in Abbeville, LA. All meetings are open to the public.
